Affiliate Disclosure
Some links on this site are affiliate links. When you book a tour through one of them, such as the Chicago Crime and Mob Bus Tour or the Haunted Chicago Booze and Boos Ghost Walking Tour, we may earn a commission from the booking platform at no extra cost to you. The price you pay is the same either way. This site is independent, and commissions are what keep the comparisons, tour notes, and category guides running.
Who Actually Runs The Tours
We do not run the tours listed here and we do not take bookings directly. Every ghost walk, bus tour, and paranormal investigation on this site is operated by a third party, such as Chicago Hauntings, Nightly Spirits, or Magnifico Tours. When you click through to the live booking page, your contract is with that operator or the platform processing the payment. Questions about meeting points, refunds, and cancellations go to them.
How Tours Get Ranked And Described
Rankings and tour descriptions on this site reflect our editorial judgment drawn from published listings, including ratings, review counts, and itineraries. A tour like the Gangsters and Ghosts Guided Walking Tour, with 1,878 reviews, appears differently from a new listing with none, and we say so plainly. Operators cannot pay for placement or for a higher position. Where an operator is not stated in the listing, we leave it that way rather than guessing.
How Prices Are Shown
Prices shown are per-person from-prices taken from each live listing, from $26 at the low end to $60 at the high end across the 16 tours we track. They can change, and seasonal dates, such as October haunted events around Chicago, often carry different rates. The amount you see on the booking page at the moment you reserve is the one that counts. Always check the listing for the current price before you pay.
Ratings and review counts quoted on this site come from the tour listings themselves. Some tours have thousands of reviews, some have a handful, and a couple of newer listings have none published at all. We report those figures as found and make no independent checks of individual guest experiences. A high rating is a useful signal, not a promise, and every booking is covered by the operator's own terms, including free cancellation where stated.
